Overview
Overall outcome of this group will be to support improved health outcomes for children and young people along with parent carers across the South West.
- Develop co-production regionally within children and young through developing a regional forum to support co-production within the region.
- Developing children and young people co-production within local systems. The regional forum will support improvements in co-production within the 15 regional SEND systems.
- Develop children and young people co-production with local systems. The regional forum to support the voice of children and young people in national representation.
- To support local self-advocacy groups within the South West to develop co-production within the SEND systems through offering the opportunity to receive some grant funding.

Progress to date
- Somerset Council have the contract to run this project
- Project worker and young person champion employed
- Baseline data gathered from local self advocacy groups from across the region
- Question and answer session held for local SEND participation leaders
- Recruitment of CYP and meetings have begun
Membership
2/3 young people from each local area (15 in total across the SW)
CYP up to the age of 25 years of age
Meeting on a monthly basis (virtually)
Discuss topics relating to Health and SEND
Link up with key stakeholders within the local area
Elected chair and co chair
Wellness actions plans created for each CYP
Attend regional and national events to share the voices of CYP with SEND
