SEND and AP Improvement Plan

Stylised cartoon drawing of a family comprising a father, a mother and two daughters

Overview

31 local authorities have been selected by ministers to pilot key SEND reforms through a £70 million “change Programme”.  The selected local authorities will create local area inclusion plans and help inform the development of new national standards, the key pillars of the government’s SEND reform agenda.

Most regions have one lead council however, in the South West we have two leads, Gloucestershire and Swindon.

This work is new and this page will be developed further in 2024.
